Jess Watson

Jess Watson is a writer, nurse, and former ecologist who calls Florida home. She has an MFA in creative writing from The University of South Florida, and degrees in ecology and nursing. As an ecologist, she completed graduate study in biological oceanography and studied pollinators, Atlantic sturgeon, and zooplankton. As a nurse, she has worked in the ICU and operating room.

She has spent the last few years writing about vocation and is starting to turn her eye towards nature. You can find her previous publications in Mud Season Review, Speculative Nonfiction, The Missouri Review, and elsewhere.
